BioUniv CGQR is a real-time cell growth monitoring system for bioreactors of all types and scales.
Non-invasive, online real-time monitoring of biomass in the reactor.
BioUniv CGQR can be installed outside the reactor and is compatible with the vast majority of reactors, including single-walled and double-walled jacketed reactors.
>Measurement principle: Backscattering technology.
>Features and Advantages of BioUniv CGQR
>Non-invasive (placed outside the reactor, no contact with the culture medium)
>No cleaning or autoclaving required, no port clogging, can be quickly installed or uninstalled at any time
>Compatible with Biostream reactors and works with various bioreactors
>Real-time, detailed microbial growth kinetics enabling real-time analysis of critical process parameters
>Two measurement modes covering an OD range of 0.5 to 50
>Eliminates the need for biomass sampling, reducing labor and time costs
>Monitor anytime
>Continuous measurement: day, night, and weekends
Compared to other biomass sensors currently on the market, BioUniv CGQR offers the following advantages:
|
BioUniv CGQR |
Invasive Biomass Sensors |
|
| Cleaning & Sterilization | Non-invasive sensor; no autoclaving or cleaning required | Requires cleaning and sterilization after each use |
| Port Usage | Placed outside the glass vessel, does not occupy a port on the headplate | Occupies one port |
| Flexibility | Can be installed or removed at any time during the fermentation process | Must be installed before the experiment begins |
| Vessel Compatibility | > Compatible with most vessel types > Simply installed outside the glass vessel or sight glass |
Limited by probe length, typically only suitable for specific vessel sizes |
| OD Range | > Standard model (521nm): OD 0.5–50* > High-Density model (940nm): OD 15–300* *Note: Depends on vessel type & size, medium, and other factors |
> Depends on sensor manufacturer > Often limited to a partial OD range |
