PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Description

Unique and Human-Centric Design

BioUniv is a benchtop bioreactor designed specifically according to the operational habits of Chinese users. Our philosophy is to provide users with a clean and organized working environment by integrating sensor modules and electronic connections within the control cabinet.

11.6" Touchscreen
The touchscreen position is adjustable, allowing customers to move it according to their usage preferences. A single controller can manage up to 32 vessels, with parameters for 6 vessels displayed intuitively on the control screen. Alternatively, the device can be controlled directly using the BOS software on a computer.

Software
Developed by Biostream software engineers, the software integrates instructional videos and protocols to easily adapt to your specific needs.

Process Information Query:After each fermentation batch, the complete fermentation data is automatically saved on the computer, creating a historical record file. Historical fermentation data can be retrieved and queried at any time. Historical records can also be exported as process data reports through the control software, allowing customers to freely select the content included in the export report. The exported data reports support direct conversion into Excel format files.
"Recipe" Function: Allows the addition of personalized fermentation protocols based on experimental requirements. This flexible design enables easy programming and configuration.

System Expansion
BioUniv allows for a wide range of additional parameters for data input and control output, offering extensive flexibility. These additional parameters cover a broad spectrum of options, such as external peristaltic pumps, off-gas analyzers, optical density/turbidity measurement, and balances for precise feeding control. Leverage the versatility of BioUniv to customize your experimental protocols and achieve outstanding results.

Experience a higher level of laboratory efficiency and precision through the BioUniv cell integrated solution.

Versatility
The functions provided by the BioUniv cell  benchtop bioreactor are versatile, capable of supporting the growth of mammalian, insect, or plant cells. This flexibility allows researchers to easily conduct various types of experiments.

Vessels
Temperature control is achieved via a heating jacket or glass jacket, with the following temperature range:
Glass Jacket Control: Cooling medium temperature +5°C to +65°C; Accuracy ±0.1°C.
Heating Blanket Control:Cooling medium temperature +5°C to +65°C; Accuracy ±0.1°C.

Multiple vessel specifications are available: 2.0L/1.0L, 3.6L/2.3L, 5.0L/3.5L, 7.5L/5.0L, 13L/10L.

All vessels are made of high borosilicate glass and are equipped with stainless steel vessel lids. The round-bottom design of the vessels enables excellent mixing performance at both low and high agitation speeds.

Agitation
The bioreactor utilizes a magnetically coupled sealing mechanism to prevent contamination.
A high-performance magnetic drive provides low-shear and gentle mixing for cell cultures.

Gas Control
We offer a range of aeration control options specifically tailored for cell culture applications.
The system supports versatile configurations and allows easy upgrading of accessories. Each vessel is equipped with independent gas pathways and gas mixing capabilities.
Flow rates can be easily adjusted using rotameters, with the option to integrate thermal mass flow meters for each gas line.

Peristaltic Pump Configuration
Each cultivation vessel is supported by five easy-to-use peristaltic pumps, enabling precise control for corrective fluid addition, feeding, and culture volume regulation.
The system includes 3 digital pumps and 1 analog pump as standard.
All pumps can be flexibly configured via software to operate in either digital or analog mode. Additionally, external pumps can be easily connected for feeding applications.

Intuitive Touchscreen Interface
An 11.6-inch touchscreen provides clear visualization of setpoints, real-time values, cascade controls, and other key parameters through a simple and user-friendly display.

Users can freely configure trend graphs and easily export data and charts. The system offers built-in flexibility, allowing customization of values based on preference or selection of factory default settings.

Spin Filter (Optional Accessory)
Suitable for both suspension cell culture (12–15 μm mesh) and microcarrier-based culture (75 μm mesh). The rotating filter retains cells outside while allowing cell-free medium to circulate within.

This enables continuous or batch removal of cell-free spent medium and replenishment with fresh medium, supporting perfusion culture processes.
